There’s nothing quite like scrolling your registry at 3am, wondering how you’ll ever afford it all – and then having Alex Cooper wipe the whole thing clean.
That’s exactly what’s been happening to a lucky handful of expecting parents this week. The Call Her Daddy host, now in her third trimester, was finalising her own baby registry when she started browsing other people’s lists – and, rather than just scrolling past, she decided to clear one. All of it- in full.
She enjoyed it so much that she started reposting followers’ registry requests straight to her Instagram Story. Not long after, fans began sharing screenshots of their own registries – completely wiped out. But in her own words, she can’t stop doing it.
What she’s actually doing
Fans post or DM their registry, she reposts a selection to her Story, and then pays for the items directly – sometimes the whole list. People are finding out when their registry shows as “purchased” or the items just start arriving. It’s not a formal giveaway with an application process, just Cooper working through requests as they come in.
She’s reportedly been leaning on her followers for pregnancy advice throughout her own journey, so this seems like her way of giving back. And apparently there’s more coming, this isn’t a one-off.
Wait, what’s a registry? (For the UK crowd)
If you’re not familiar, this is a very American thing. When someone’s expecting a baby (or getting married), they set up a “registry” – a public wishlist through a retailer like Target, Amazon, or Babylist. They list exactly what they need – cot, pram, car seat, nappies, the lot – and anyone can buy an item directly off the list, so nothing gets duplicated and nothing’s a guess.
The UK has loose equivalents (Babylist UK, John Lewis gift lists), but it’s nowhere near as standard here as it is in the US, where a registry is basically expected for any baby shower.
Typical Cost
A fairly standard US baby registry (cot, pram, car seat, nappies, feeding gear, clothes) usually runs somewhere around $1,500–$3,000, roughly £1,150–£2,300. Go for the nicer pram and full nursery furniture and it can easily climb past $5,000 (£3,800).
Given Alex has reportedly cleared multiple registries with more planned, she’s likely already well into five figures.

Alex recently shared an exciting update with her Daddy gang about what she’s been doing. After she had cleared out a few registries, her fans started doing the same for each other.
It’s garnered so much attention that brands have also been in touch wanting to support parents to be. The iconic Baby List have got involved and now it’s a whole movement that’s growing at pace.
